DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for professional drivers who meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 23 years old
• Current Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement in your home state
• Minimum of 3 years recent, verifiable over-the-road tractor/semi experience
• Maximum of 3 moving violations in last 3 years
• No major moving violation in past 12 months
  Note: Any major moving violation or accident must be reviewed and approved by Safety.
• No DWI/DUI in past 5 years
• No reckless driving; careless driving; open container; refusal to take a test, provided for by implied consent; leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run); eluding a police officer; reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter; transporting an illegal or controlled substance; auto theft; or pre-arranged speed and drag racing in the last (5) five years. None allowed in a commercial vehicle.

NOTE: Due to the fact that some states list a minor accident or moving violation as careless driving, each careless driving entry on the MVR will be reviewed individually to determine severity.

• No felony convictions (Minor felonies subject to approval by Safety.)
• No DOT reportable/recordable accidents in past 3 years
• Must pass DOT physical
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug test
• A positive work history
• Deliver on time, be safe, and be legal
• Fulfill the functions of the job as a professional driver

It is possible to meet all of the above requirements and not be offered a driving position at K.L. Harring Transportation, as these qualifications are set as minimum requirements only. Any deviation from the above must be approved by the President of K.L. Harring Transportation or the Safety Director.
